KnowMyPay is published at knowmypay.co.uk by Sravya. Using this site means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the calculators.
What the site provides
The site provides free calculators and written guides covering UK income tax, National Insurance, pensions, property taxes, benefits and student finance. Each tool applies published rules to figures supplied by the user and shows the steps behind the result.
This is information, not advice
Nothing on this site is personal financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and nothing here constitutes regulated advice under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. No adviser relationship is created by using a calculator or reading a guide.
The calculators cannot see your full circumstances. Tax and benefit outcomes frequently depend on details a general tool never receives. Before acting on any figure, particularly one affecting a pension, a property transaction or a material tax liability, confirm your own position with HM Revenue and Customs, the relevant government body, or a suitably qualified professional adviser.
No guarantee of accuracy
The site is provided on an "as is" basis. Figures are checked against primary sources, and every tool displays the tax year it applies to and the date it was last reviewed. Even so:
- Rates, thresholds and allowances change, ordinarily each April, and a page may briefly lag an announced change.
- Calculators necessarily simplify. Unusual tax codes, transitional provisions, individual reliefs and edge cases may not be reflected.
- Results are rounded for display and may therefore differ by small amounts from a payslip or an official assessment.
- Where a figure is uncertain or awaiting confirmation, that is stated on the page.
No warranty is given that the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for any particular purpose. If you believe a figure is incorrect, please report it through the contact page so it can be checked against the source.
Permitted use
You may use these calculators freely for your own purposes, whether personal or professional, and may link to any page.
You may not republish the content as your own, copy the site in substantial part, or access it by automated means at a scale that degrades the service for others. Reasonable, considerate crawling is permitted.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KnowMyPay and its publisher accept no liability for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of, or reliance on, this site. That includes decisions about employment, pensions, property, borrowing or benefit claims. Responsibility for your own tax affairs and financial decisions remains yours.
